Wilfa Performance Thermo Coffee Maker

CM9B-T125

High-Performance Coffee Maker with Stainless Steel Thermo Jug

Advanced technology guarantees perfect brewing temperature from the first to the last drop

The Wilfa Svart Performance coffee maker has been developed in Norway, in collaboration with World leaders in barista.

Perfect temperature

Unlike most other coffee makers, Wilfa Svart Performance Coffee Maker keeps between 92 and 96 degrees from the first to the last drop.

Unique technology

The pump completely empties the hopper of water at each brewing, therefore there will always be fresh clean water when brewing.

Detachable water tank - always clean water

With a removable water tank that you can fill directly into, you'll always have fresh, clean water for great tasting coffee.

Quiet

The funnel is silent.

Drip - stop (flow control)

An adjustable drip stop to set how much coffee you brew, and give you perfect coffee no matter the amount.

Approved by ECBC

Performance is approved by ECBC (Norsk Kaffeinformatsjon), which sets requirements for, among other things, water temperature and contact time with the water. In order to get maximum flavors and aromas from the coffee, it is absolutely necessary that the coffee maker works with the right water temperature from the very beginning and throughout the brewing time. At the same time, it is important that the water does not take too short or too long to flow through the coffee powder. Small deviations mean that you can end up with either sour or bitter coffee.

Best in test

Performance was the best in a test at tek.no's latest coffee maker test.

      Perfect coffee

"This filter machine is aesthetically great in our kitchen and it makes great coffee."

      — Sam R. (5/5)

Elegant to Look at, Simple to Use, Great Coffee

"I've only had the device a few days, so I can’t comment on long-term performance, but I’m very impressed so far, with only one minor niggle. First of all, this is a simple device. Other than the dial to control the flow through the filter, there are no settings to adjust whatsoever. Fill the water tank, add a filter paper, grind and add the coffee, press the button, and that’s it. The machine is loud at the very start and the very end, but during the main drip phase it’s very quiet. The coffee beans I’m using were previously used in a bean to cup machine and for pour over. I think the results from the drip filter are vastly better than my bean to cup, and on a par with my pour over, which is saying something given how much more effort pour over requires. In short, this machine makes great coffee, as you would hope at this price point. The version I have comes with the thermal jug, and it holds temperature very well, certainly for the time I need it to stay hot, which is just over an hour. I haven’t tested it beyond that, but at the one hour mark the coffee is still properly hot. My only real gripe so far is the thermal jug. Pouring requires quite a steep angle, which feels a bit awkward. It’s a minor quibble, but worth mentioning. Worth noting that, if you so want, you can bloom the coffee manually by closing the flow rate dial fully for 30 or so seconds before opening. A couple of things to be aware of. If you’re buying in the UK, it comes fitted with an adaptor. This makes the plug stick out more than usual, so it’s worth factoring that in depending on where it will sit in your kitchen. Also, there is a separate on and off switch at the back, which took me a while to find. For a moment I thought the unit was dead on arrival. Overall, this is a very well designed piece of kit. If you want simplicity in both appearance and operation, but with genuinely great tasting coffee, this machine is absolutely on the money. If you’re someone who likes to tweak and fine tune every variable, it may not be for you. For everyday use though, it’s excellent. The fact that Wilfa offer a five year warranty is also reassuring, and suggests they expect it to last. Highly recommended."
