"Absolutely love it! Spent quite awhile researching which make and model to buy, and I am very pleased with our purchase"
"Makes an amazing cup of coffee once you get the correct grind setting, provided you use quality coffee beans."
"I've had one of these Wilfa Uniform (silver) grinders since December 2020 and it has been fantastic. The five year warranty is much appreciated and reflects the quality. I have also found the Wilfa UK customer service to have been outstanding. all in all much appreciated and a rare thing these days. Thank you."
"Really great product, very happy with the consistency of the output"
"RESCUED FROM CLOGS! After a bad experience with clogging and static when using ‘oily’ high-roast beans [something of an ‘elephant-in-the-room’ issue], I was encouraged to try the Wilfa Uniform. This satisfyingly designed model, with flat rather than conical burrs, is a real pleasure to use, and the auto shut-off is surprisingly useful. The grind is relatively slow – I assume to reduce heat and static – and equally relatively quiet. And no clogging or static anywhere, and the burrs were clean as a whistle. The range of grind settings is impressive, from the zero end [for the espresso nuts] to an extraordinary 41 [with a useful guide to recommended settings for different preparations; the website also carries a more detailed graphic guide]. I did suffer a brief minor hiccup; the instruction booklet has a ‘note’ about the necessity of locking the bean hopper at the zero end of the scale [you will sense a proper ‘clunk’ when you get there]. I think the advice could be a little more emphatic; don’t be lazy and assume you just pick it up exactly as you left it last time. It’s so easy every time you use the Uniform simply to give the burrs a quick brush, and ‘clunk’ BEFORE you select your setting. For genuine geeks, there is a version of the Uniform which has an electronic scale built into the lid, with associated software links to your smartphone. What a pleasure; kitchens everywhere deserve the fabulous super-fresh smell ! David Harvie"
"RESCUED FROM CLOGS! In mid-October, I took delivery of a Wilfa WSCG-2 coffee grinder from Servicevend, which had seemed to attract universally good reviews on-line. But was there an ‘elephant in the room’? Almost immediately, I was plagued with clogging, in the grinding chamber and worse, in the vertical delivery chute between the chamber and the grounds container. I reported this to Jason at Servicevend, and it was taken up as a potential warranty issue by Rica at Brewed-by-Hand. I didn’t expect a dramatic response, other perhaps than a recognition that high-roast beans – my usual choice – are prone to produce ‘clogging’ in various areas due to a slightly oily context. However, these two champions put their heads together and helpfully arranged an upgrade to the new Wilfa Uniform. This was achieved with a refund and a gently-applied new payment. The Uniform arrived within a few days and I approached it with trepidation. This superbly-designed model, with flat rather than conical burrs, is a real pleasure to use, and the auto shut-off is surprisingly useful. And no clogging – anywhere! Not even in the grounds container. The blades were clean as a whistle. I had come to the conclusion that most reviewers had steered clear of addressing the clogging/static problem. Now all that remains for me is to spend some time exploring the range of grind settings. What a pleasure! David Harvie 23 January 2024"
